The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn is set to release in two parts! The first part is due to release on 18th November, 2011 and the second part on the 16th November, 2012. Both movies are directed by Bill Condon. Shooting will begin in November 2010 and finish roughly on 15th March 2011.
Stephenie Meyer will be one of the film's producers. This is the first time Stephenie has been specifically credited as a producer, as previously she has only been used for reference in the story.
This page will gradually be updated when we have more to tell on Breaking Dawn, but for now here are some facts.
What we know:
- Filming will take place in Louisiana and Vancouver
- Production Weekly has confirmed the dates of Louisiana filming
- Confirmed dates may change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances
- Avoid believing everything you read on the internet. Watch out for IMDB especially. IMDB is open to the world (just like Wikipedia) so anyone can edit it. Until shooting begins, take everything with a pinch of salt.
- We can't get you a part in the films. We're solely a fan site and (unfortunately) have no influence when it comes to the films. There are, however, many advice pages on how to get into the business.
- If anyone tells you that you need to pay them money to get into an audition they are lying!
What we don't know:
- What roles are needed - we don't know if characters are being combined, like Lauren & Jessica or Eric & Ben.
- Whether there will be an open call for extras. (Twilight had open calls, New Moon and Eclipse did not.)
- Whether there will be an open call for speaking parts. The only open calls for speaking parts were for Native American or First Nations actors. Every other part, you needed to be in the business, with experience with an agent.
- Whether there will be an open call for Renesmee. We think that the part will go to twins (or more) to deal with child labour laws.
