Twilight
The first novel in the Twilight Saga series
About three things I was absolutely positive.
First, Edward was a vampire.
Second, there was a part of him-
and I didn't know how dominant that part might be-
that thirsted for my blood.
And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably
in love with him.
Isabella "Bella" Swan moves to Forks, Washington (the rainiest city in the United States), from the warm sunny city Pheonix, Arizona, to live with her father, after her mother leaves to travel with her new husband who is on the road as a minor league baseball player. Bella quickly befriends several students, and also attracts the attention of several boys, none of which she is particularly interested in. Although things heat up when Bella finds herself in the arms of the mystery boy in school, Edward Cullen, after she is nearly run over by a van in the school parking lot. But she can't seem to figure out how he seemingly appeared out of nowhere to save her life, and how he stopped the van with his bare hands. After questioning Edward, and a family friend, Jacob Black, on local tribal legends, Bella can only come to one conclusion. Edward, the boy she can't stay away from, is a vampire.
Bella gets caught up in a new world filled with teenage drama, vampires, and of course, forbidden love.
