Insipired by a dream of a girl and a vampire in a meadow, Stephenie Meyer began writing what would become the newest global literary phenomenons: the Twilight Saga, which consists of four published books, with a fifth as yet unpublished. The first book in the series, Twilight, was adapted into a film and released in 2008. The second, New Moon is due for film release in November 2009 with the subsequent two, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn scheduled for filming.
