Actor Michael Sheen has gone from werewolf to vampire in the course of a year. In January, Sheen played the part of Lucian, the scruffy lycan who liberates werewolf-kind from an aristocratic vampire coven in Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. Now in November, in a near complete reversal of roles, he portrays Aro, the leader of an elite authoritarian vampire clan who deals swiftly and mercilessly with those that don't meet their approval in New Moon.
Now Summit Entertainment has released to numerous sources stills and promotional photos of Sheen and the rest of the Volturi coven, who include Cameron Bright, Christopher Heyerdahl, Jamie Campbell Bower, and a particularly creepy looking Dakota Fanning. The cast of the Volturi wear red contact lenses, as to be true to the novel. These lenses were hand painted to match the actor's individual eye colors, to produce an effect of red that is totally opaque. As director Chris Weitz explained:
"They're opaque red, almost like preying mantis eyes. You can't really see into them. There's something terribly off-putting about it,"
MTV Movies has synopses of the characters with links to the promotional photos.

They’ve really pushed the eye colour in these shots - they look great! I hope these are the colours they’re using in the movie!
